The G-8 Director's Initiatives Group (DIG) integrates and synchronizes G-8 actions within G-8 and across the Army, leads planning and preparation of all G-8 strategic communications, and provides operational support to G-8 leadership as required.
Dig Objectives
- Conduct Long-Range Planning:
- Identify opportunities and challenges to key Army programs
- Support Army/DoD planning efforts as G-8 representative
- Integrate and Synchronize:
- Integrate efforts involving two or more G-8 directorates
- Provide strategic communications direct support to all G-8 directorates
- Leads G-8 Congressional activities coordination
- Integrate G-8 efforts horizontally/vertically with Army, Joint Staff, and DoD
- Support Army planning in Army strategy, communications, and initiatives groups.
- Serve as lead for select actions as directed by the G-8
- Lead Strategic Communications:
- Lead for G-8 Strategic Communications and Congressional Activities
- Develop and support execution of G-8 engagements with Congressional, media, and community audiences
Synchronize G-8 strategic communications with Army Staff and Secretariat
